Algo Trading Course in Kota
Kota has two populations and they need opposite advice, so this page begins with the one it is going to turn away.
If you are seventeen, living in a hostel around the coaching hub (Vigyan Nagar, Jawahar Nagar) or near Aerodrome Circle, and you are reading this instead of finishing today's problem set — close the tab. Not because you could not learn this. Because the thing you came to this city to do has a deadline, and this does not.
- ✔ No coding background needed
- ✔ Lifetime access + updates
- ✔ Taught by Atul Shrivastava (16+ yrs)
- ✔ Education only — no tips, no calls
To the coaching students specifically
We would rather say this and lose the sale.
Markets are not going anywhere. The attempt you are preparing for happens once a year, and the version of you sitting that paper is decided by what you did in the six months before it. Algo trading takes three to six months of real work to reach anything useful. There is no version of the next six months where you do both properly.
There is a second reason, and it is harder. The demographic most likely to lose money in Indian derivatives is young, new, and drawn in by content promising fast results. Regulators have published enough data on retail derivative outcomes that this is not a matter of opinion. A student with borrowed hostel money and an app is precisely the profile that gets hurt, and the fact that it is dressed up as learning a skill does not change the outcome.
If markets genuinely interest you, that interest will still be there after your attempt, and you will have money that is yours rather than your parents'. Read Zerodha Varsity for free in the meantime if you want to keep the interest alive. That is a real recommendation, not a polite dismissal.
The Kota that actually has capital
The other population is permanent, and it is the one this course is for.
Kota's coaching economy has built a substantial local business class — hostel and PG owners, mess operators, property owners, faculty who have been here fifteen years, and the shops and services around all of it. That business has an unusual financial shape: income is steady and largely predictable, tied to an academic calendar rather than to a market, and it throws off a surplus that has nowhere obvious to go beyond property.
Property is what most of that surplus has gone into, and there is a concentration problem hiding in it. If you own hostels in Kota and you also buy land in Kota, both depend on the same thing — that students keep coming to this city in the same numbers. That is not a diversified position, it is one bet placed twice, and the coaching sector has already shown it can shift faster than property can be sold.
Financial assets, held systematically, are one of the few things a Kota business owner can hold whose value does not depend on Kota.
What the course teaches
More than fifty modules in a deliberate order. Python from nothing. Then the Zerodha Kite Connect API for authentication, market data, order placement and reading positions back from the broker.
Then testing — running your rules across years of historical data with brokerage, STT and slippage subtracted, which is where most attractive ideas quietly stop being attractive. After that, automating entry and exit, a scanner built on your own filters, live market data in a spreadsheet, and a virtual trading system for practising with nothing at stake.
The last stretch is deployment: a cloud server that starts the program each morning, restarts it after a crash, logs every decision, and carries the static IP your broker requires for API order flow.
Everything runs against a live broker account, which is free and takes about ten minutes to open.

Income that arrives on a calendar, and how to size against it
A hostel business collects in a pattern tied to admission cycles. That produces the same trap seasonal businesses everywhere fall into: sizing a position against whatever happens to be in the account.
Do that and your largest positions land right after collections, which is exactly when that money is most spoken for — maintenance before the next intake, staff, property outgoings. The market has no idea any of that is committed.
The fix is unglamorous. Decide a total capital figure once, in writing, review it annually rather than monthly, and fund the trading account from it deliberately instead of topping it up whenever cash appears. Written into code as a fixed fraction of a number you set once a year, the problem disappears. Left to judgement, it returns every single cycle.
Fees, and what we do not offer
Algorithmic Trading with Python is Rs 24,900 — one payment, permanent access, all future updates, nothing sold afterwards. Enrolment is at study.thefinbaba.com and teaching is online in a Hindi-English mix.
Take the free WhatsApp demo before deciding. If markets are new to you, the honest answer will be the Rs 2,500 beginners course first.
We sell no tips and run no signal group. We manage nobody's money. There is no placement or job assistance attached to any of this — it is a trading course, not a career programme, which is worth stating in a city where a great deal is sold on the promise of an outcome. Trading carries a real risk of loss. The instructor is Atul Shrivastava — 16+ years trading, 8+ years mentoring Python algo trading, and a registered Zerodha Authorised Person (AP2516003481).

Frequently Asked Questions
I am a coaching student in Kota. Should I learn algo trading?
Not now. Your attempt has a deadline and this does not, and there is no version of the next six months where both get done properly. The demographic most likely to lose money in Indian derivatives is young and new. Read Zerodha Varsity for free to keep the interest alive, and come back afterwards.
What is the fee for the algo trading course in Kota?
Rs 24,900, paid once, covering all 50+ modules, permanent access, future updates and WhatsApp support. A free demo comes first.
I run a hostel business. How should I size trading capital?
Against a total capital figure decided once and reviewed annually, not against the account balance after a collection cycle. Otherwise your largest positions land exactly when that money is committed to maintenance, staff and the next intake.
Is there a classroom or institute for this in Kota?
No. The course is online with WhatsApp support, which is how students across India take it. Our only office is in Indore.
Will this help me get a job?
We make no claim about that and offer no placement support. It is a trading course. Some people find the Python and data-handling useful elsewhere, but that is a side effect rather than something promised.
